Thomas S. Ablum

Tom Ablum has more than 30 years of experience in corporate and strategic finance, including in private placements, leveraged buyouts, securitizations, workouts, turnarounds, strategic planning, financial structuring and troubled debt restructuring. Before co-founding Ablum Brown in 1988, Tom was co-head of corporate finance at New York-based securities and broker/dealer firm Rodman & Renshaw, and held positions with Prudential Bache Securities, Borg-Warner Acceptance Corp., Household International and the Walgreen Co. Mr. Ablum earned his BS in Finance at the University of Illinois, and received his MBA from DePaul University.

Steve F. Rosen

Steve Rosen has 25 years of experience in the real estate industry. Prior to joining Ablum Brown, Steve was a consultant providing construction lending and real estate advisory services to clients including the FDIC, as well as institutional and individual investors. Before that, he spent 20 years in commercial and residential lending, most recently with IndyMac Bank, where he was initially recruited to join a team to open the bank’s Midwest regional office. At IndyMac for 13 years, Steve was responsible for over $1 billion of loans on acquisitions, development and construction projects. He also held positions as a lender with Long Term Credit Bank of Japan and with Continental Illinois Bank. Mr. Rosen earned his BBA in Accounting & Finance at the University of Wisconsin, and received his MBA from DePaul University.

Kimberly Ryan

Kim Ryan has more than 25 years of experience in the real estate and investment industry. Prior to joining Ablum Brown, Kim was Assistant Vice President with JP Morgan Chase for 10 years while managing their emerging market programs. She also held positions as a lender with both The Bank of Godfrey and Creve Coeur Mortgage, before that she served as CEO of AA Money Source. Prior to working in the lending industry Kim was a registered representative with John Hancock Financial Services. Ms. Ryan earned her BS in Psychology at Kaplan University, and received her MA from Webster University.
